Tapas y tapas (in english)

Muitos amigos argentinos, equatorianos e americanos não entenderam o texto em português, então eu traduzi para inglês, here we go:

Last week I was very “off” with the blog because of my vacation in Buenos Aires, but today I am back and I intend to update this everyday. To continue talking about Argentina, nothing would be better than to talk about my new friends that live there. Moreover, to understand a region, it's behaviour and it's culture is to participate daily.

The photos posted here were taken in a party on my last day and I tell you: it was really funny. One different thing in Buenos Aires is that people smoke in enclosed spaces. In the club everybody was very comfortable smkoing their cigarettes, but it did not stink because the place was very big and I think it had ventilation.

Before arriving at the party, I was in a very cool dinner that was called "tapas y tapas" and on the table had toast, dips, etc. When I arrived at the get-together with my Autralian friend Ricky I knew the host – Jorge, the Ecuadorian -, who was very friendly and receptive with me. During the party I met people from the US, other Ecuadorians and Argentines, like: PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD.

For me, never being out of Brazil, it was a fantastic experience and a good opportunity to talk about my country . Andrea, the Ecuadorian girl, told me about her experience in the carnaval from Salvador. She liked the music and told me that she had a lot of food, but for her it was very strange when the guys came to her to kiss her, even without talking to her first. Another very interesting person was an American girl Erin, who studies Portuguese alone, she speaks out language very well and knows about our singers.

The days with my Australian friend Ricky was very interesting, during the party and others tours that we did we exchanged a lot of information about words in Portuguese, English and Spanish. His life is really amazing, can you imagine someone that just speaks English and one day decides to move to Buenos Aires having never studied Spanish? Yeah, that’s Ricky. For me, being a Brazilian, it was so hard understand the Argentine Spanish during these days - imagine how hard it was for a person that’s from the other side of our planet.

During the dinner the people there asked me to show them some Brazilian music. I was thinking to play something more light, like Maria Gadu or Marcelo Camelo, but they wanted to have fun listing to funk or “sertanejo” (like country music). Erin, for example, said “play the music Chora me liga, of the duo João Bosco e Vinicius". To get the party going I played some more popular music from Brasil: Calypson, Aviões do Forró and to see if I could shock them, I showed them the Watermelon Women dancing to the song “Velocidade 6” ( I LAUGHTED A LOT WATCHING THEIR SURPRISED FACES).

To finish, this was my first of a lot of international experiences and I hope to have more and more. Experiences are great when they affect you inside and for me this one will be one of my biggest, most beautiful and fun stories to tell in the future.

Tapas y tapas

Semana passada fiquei bem em off com o blog por conta da viagem para Buenos Aires, mas hoje volto a atualizar aqui novamente com mais frequência. Para fechar minha vivência na Argentina, nada melhor do que falar como foi fazer novas amizades com pessoas que moram lá. Aliás, entender uma região, seus costumes e sua cultura é fazer parte do cotidiano dos habitantes que moram nela.

As fotos postadas aqui foram tiradas em uma festa que fui no último dia e te digo: foi muito divertido. Uma coisa bem diferente que ainda permeia em Buenos Aires é fumar em lugares fechados. Dentro da boate todos ficavam bem à vontade para pegarem seus cigarros, mas não ficava o fedor da fumaça pois o ambiente tinha vários vaporizadores.

Porém, antes de chegar na festa, presenciei um jantar muito legal, que na verdade é chamado tapas y tapas, com várias torradinhas, molhos, comidinhas, etc. Chegando na reunião com meu amigo australiano Ricky, conheci o dono da casa - o equatoriano Jorge -, que foi extremamente simpático e receptivo. Durante a festa conheci mais duas equatorianas, duas texanas, três argentinos e uma norte-americana, tipo assim: PESSOAS DO MUNDO INTEIRO.

Para mim, que nunca tinha saído do Brasil, foi extremamente interessante falar sobre meu país para pessoas . A equatoriana Andrea já conhecia o Brasil e me contou sobre sua experiência no carnaval de Salvador. Ela a música e disse que tinha muita comida na casa onde ficou hospedada, mas achou muito engraçado como os homens no carnaval querem somente beijar na boca e nem tentam conversar. Outra pessoa muito interessante é a americana Erin, a qual estuda sozinha a língua portuguesa e fala muito bem nossa lingua, conhece muitos artistas do nosso país.

Minha convivência com o Ricky foi muito interessante, durante a festa e os passeios que fazíamos nós trocávamos várias informações sobre palavras em português, inglês e espanhol. A vida dele é realmente interessante, já pensou você só falar inglês e do nada mudar para Buenos Aires sem nunca ter estudado espanhol? Este é o Rick. Para mim, que sou brasileiro, foi terrível compreender o espanhol argentino durante os dias que fiquei por lá, imagina para alguém que é do outro lado do planeta.

Durante o jantar o pessoal me pediu para colocar algumas músicas brasileiras, pensei em mostrar algo de leve, tipo Maria Gadú ou Marcelo Camelo, mas o pessoal queria se divertir escutando funk ou sertanejo. Erin, por exemplo, já chegou pedindo a música "Chora, me liga", da dupla João Bosco e Vinícios. Para animar o pessoal acabei mostrando as músicas mais populares do Brasil: Calypson, Aviões do Forró e, para deixa-los de queixos caídos, mostrei a Mulher Melancia dançando "Velocidade 6" (chorei litros com a cara de todos assistindo ao vídeo). 

Por fim, esta é um das minhas primeiras vivências internacionais e espero que venham mais por ai. As experiências são grandiosas quando você às tornam grandes dentro de si e, para mim, esta é uma das lindas e divertidas histórias que terei para contar.
